MIGRATION STALKERS
BRIEF
Imagine waking up to the sounds of hooves racing across the Serengeti or watching a golden sun as it rises behind a herd of grazing antelopes. Migration Stalkers wants to deliver this experience in the national parks of Northern Tanzania, a famous tourist destination for safaris. While the team has a wealth of experience and connections in the safari industry, they are now venturing into the hospitality industry by aiming to provide luxurious and restful experiences to their clients. The key advantage of luxury camps is that they can be moved to follow the animals as they migrate throughout the year. This improves the chances of spotting rare animals as well as major migrations. The new company required a logo and a strong brand presence that would project luxury, reliability and professionalism to potential clients and suppliers.

Target Audience:

- Families with members of all ages.

- Professional photographers and researchers who stay longer and have to constantly move with the animals at the national parks.

- Suppliers at international conferences and expos

BRANDING
The imagery
Most competitors use a lion on their logo as it is interesting and rare to see. However, In order to create a sense of calm and relaxation, it was important to use imagery that was non-threatening, such as a Zebra. Additionally, it was important to show the proximity of animals to the luxury camps setting Migration Stalkers apart from all the other hotels and lodges in the area.
Wordmark
The pairing of Aleo by Alessio Laiso and Tangerine Bold by Toshi Omagari brings professionalism and luxury together. This can be appealing to both clients and suppliers with whom Migration Stalkers would work.
Colours
Similar to the imagery, the colours needed to be easy on the eye. Migration Stalkers is first and foremost part of the hospitality industry and the colours reflect the sense of calm that they promise their clients. Most of the competitors in this industry and location use sunset colours as a norm. However, those reds and yellows can evoke fiery and intense feelings. While that may be great for enthusiasm-filled safaris, they are not the best colours to represent a safe and relaxing space to sleep. The green tones are sparse and clean and hold the company apart from most other safari related companies clearly indicating that they offer distinct services. The brand’s earthy colours are also a nod to the extraordinary wildlife and the beautiful national reserves for which they have immense respect.
Application
The Migration Stalkers logo had to be distinct and usable on printed merchandise as well as digital screens. The landscape, square, light and dark versions of the logo make it versatile enough to use on any background and in any size or shape.
Working with the team of Migration Stalkers was a delight. In the end we produced a design that encapsulates the most important aspects of their business while being memorable and timeless.
